NICK JONAS APPEARING SOLO AT GRAMMYS SPECIAL

Nick Jonas's band Nick Jonas and the Administration will be performing as part of the Recording Academy's CBS special, "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! -- Countdown to Music's Biggest Night".

The show happens December 2nd and it's the same night that the 2010 Grammy nominations will be announce.

Kevin and Joe Jonas will also be there to introduce Nick's band.

Nick is joining the Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and Sugarland as performers.

LL Cool J is hosting.

Nick Jonas and the Administration will release their debut album in February.

Britney Spears announced she will drop a new album next spring.

Her record label Jive confirmed that Britney is looking to drop her seventh set in May.

Songwriter Sean Garrett recently confirmed he's working on material for the album.

 

ENGLISH SOCCER TEAM SELLING...KATY PERRY LINGERIE?!

English soccer team West Ham United is selling a limited edition range of lingerie that was inspired by Katy Perry.

A few weeks ago, Katy appeared on stage wearing a skimpy maroon outfit with West Ham badges at the MTV Europe Awards in Berlin.

Katy wore the outfit because it her boyfriend Russell Brand's favorite team.

 

THE "HOLY GRAIL" OF MICHAEL JACKSON IS UP FOR SALE

The "Holy Grail" of Michael Jackson memorabilia is going up for auction and will include one of MJ's famous white gloves and hundreds of other rock-and-roll memorabilia.

The white glove was worn by Michael when he debuted his famous moonwalk at the 1983 Motown 25 television special. The glove is worth between $40,000-$60,000 but it's expected to sell for much higher, between $200,000-$300,000.

The sale will be at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York and includes a car driven by Michael Jackson, David Bowie's guitar and other memorabilia from the Beatles to Bo Diddley, an Elvis Presley ring, James Brown's suits and Kurt Cobain's fingerprints, which were taken from him when he was arrested in 1986.

Johnny Depp tops People magazine's "Sexiest Men Alive" list. 

This is the second time Depp has won. He was named "Sexiest Man Alive" in 2003.

Why Depp again?

Mag editors were looking for someone who has reached sex icon status.

"He was sexy ten years ago, he'll be sexy ten years from now. He appeals to multiple generations of women -- and for many different reasons to different kinds of women."

Avril Lavigne has apparently moved on from her marriage to Sum 41's Deryck Whibley and is now dating Lindsay Lohan's ex, Wilmer Valderrama.

A source told Life And Style Magazine: "They have been friends since working together on 'Fast Food Nation' in 2005, but things heated up last month. One of their first dates was last month at Nobu in West Hollywood. She had her hand on his knee and they were whispering in each other's ear, laughing."

 

LADY GAGA SAYS SHE PAID TRIBUTE TO BEYONCE IN THE "VIDEO PHONE" VIDEO...PLUS, DETAILS ON THE NEW LADY GAGA IPHONE APP!

Lady Gaga and Beyoncé's "Video Phone" video is out and even though people might think there was a rivalry on the set of the video shoot, Gaga said there was no such thing.

She said: "What I was excited about is with B, I had no ego. Neither of us had an ego. It wasn't about competition. It was about, like, 'Man let's give the world what they want. Let's do a real girl-power collaboration where we support one other.' "

"I said, 'I want to do you in your video, and I want to tribute you. I want to dress up like you.'  It was really stripped down, real Beyoncé hair and we wore the same outfit in the video, and I paid tribute to her."

"I wanted to work with her because this was an era for her in her career where she defined herself aesthetically. And that should be applauded that a woman did that. She's so great at what she does."

Details On The New Lady Gaga iPhone App!

Lady has a new app coming out and her fans are in for a treat.

It's a full featured karaoke app that includes instrumental and vocal mixes from the actual studio masters of Lady Gaga's four biggest hits plus her new single "Bad Romance".

The other songs are "Poker Face", "Paparazzi", "Just Dance" and "Love Game".

People will also be able to buy other Lady Gaga tracks.

RIHANNA GETS HELP FROM JAY-Z AND YOUNG JEEZY...DURING A SHOW IN LONDON

Rihanna promoted her new album "Rated R" in London with a from London that featured her new music and some help from some high-profile guests.

The concert was broadcast around the works and it was one of the first times Rihanna had performed songs from her new set, which drops November 23rd.

During her track, "Hard," she brought out Young Jeezy so he could do his verse on the song.

Rihanna later sang her verse from T.I.'s "Live Your Life," which turned into her verses on Jay-Z's "Run This Town," and that's when Hov came out onstage and did his verses from the track. That led right into "Umbrella," with Jay rapping his intro.

 

TAYLOR SWIFT TO CREATE GREETING CARDS

Taylor Swift has partnered with American Greetings Corp. to create a line of greeting cards, gift packaging, stationery, online photo personalization products and online greetings.

 

MICHAEL JACKSON'S "THIS IS IT" COMING TO MTV IN 2011

Michael Jackson's "This Is It" movie will be premiering on MTV sometime soon.

MTV bought the rights to air the film in 2011in a deal that includes all of the channels under MTV Networks, including VH1, VH1 Classic and Palladia, as well as BET Networks.

More details will be announced soon.

BRITNEY SPEARS LAUNCHES HER OWN IPHONE APP

Britney Spears launched her own iPhone and iPod Touch app called "It's Britney!"

The app is available at the iTunes App Store for $1.99 and has seven features, including messages from Britney, news, photo galleries, a frequently updated home screen and Twitter updates. There's also a sparkler feature, so fans can hold up their phones at her shows.

The Be Britney's Dancer feature lets fans put their faces on photos of Britney's dancers and be onstage with her. Also, when fans shake the phone with the Shake Shake Shake feature, they can hear Britney say, "It's Britney, bi---!" from her song "Gimme More."

Britney Tweeted: "See now there really is an app for everything! I just got a demo of my new iPhone app and I'm playing with it on my phone non-stop. I love it!!"

LADY GAGA ADMITS SHE WROTE "SPEECHLESS" FOR HER DAD...PICS OF GAGA IN AN INTERESTING COSTUME...AND PICS OF GAGA AND BEYONCE SHOOTING THEIR VIDEO

Lady GaGa said she wrote her song "Speechless" for her dad to try to persuade him to have a heart operation.

She said: "Speechless was my plea to my father to get this heart operation. I sent it to my dad when I was on the road. He still wouldn't do it and one day he just started not feeling so good so I dropped everything and sat down with him. I told him it was not just his heart at stake, it was all our hearts. I told him if he died I would quit music and mom would not be able to function. And, thankfully, he did it."

"It was pretty necessary. It was the biggest nightmare of my life. My father is my whole world; I'm such a daddy's girl. I told him that I hadn't bought anything yet with any of the money that I made from my new album so I bought my dada a new heart."

JAY-Z SIGNS UK GROUP TING TINGS

The Ting Tings are going to work with Jay-Z on their new album.

The duo from the UK signed to Jay's Roc Nation label and will release their next album in US with help from Hova himself.

A source told the UK's Daily Star: "Jay is hoping to lend his production skills to some of the new material. The Staccato rhythmic style of The Ting Tings sits well with what he does best, so that was the attraction. Jay can make them one of the biggest British bands in America."

Jay-Z also recently signed British girl group Sugababes to Roc Nation.

 

TIMBALAND SAYS THAT MILEY CYRUS REMINDS HIM OF...JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE?!

Timbaland compared Miley Cyrus to Justin Timberlake.

He said that he was left impressed after working with Miley on a song for his "Shock Value 2" album.

Timbaland said: "Man, she's gonna be like Justin Timberlake. She comes from that same musical background, where she's just got it. Her voice is just there. The best way to put it is she's special. When I worked with her, I was very impressed. I was like, 'Whoa'."

TWO NEW TRACKS FEATURING BEYONCE AND LADY GAGA!

Here are two new tracks featuring Lady Gaga and Beyonce.

One is "Telephone", which is the second single off Lady GaGa's new "Fame Monster" set, which drops November 24th.

The other was the highly anticipated collaboration between "B" and Gaga called "Video Phone".

(OH BOY)...KATY PERRY AND RUSSELL BRAND HAVE RECORDED A SONG TOGETHER

Katy Perry and Russell Brand have recorded a song together.

The couple went to a studio in Los Angeles and recorded a version of Edward Lear's 1871 poem "The Owl and the Pussycat".

A source told the UK's Sun: "Russell was just messing around in the studio with Katy. He was pretending to sing into the microphone and started reciting the poem, 'The Owl And The Pussycat', with the lines, 'Oh lovely Pussy! Oh Pussy my love, what a beautiful Pussy you are'."

 

LEONA LEWIS WAS NERVOUS ABOUT MEETING JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE

Leona Lewis admitted she was nervous about teaming up with Justin Timberlake on her new album, "Echo".

Leona said: "He is a beautiful boy and I was a bit worried about whether it would cloud my judgment over whether the song was good or not. But as soon as I met him that was over. He is so cool, such a nice guy, and I think we have a lot in common as we are both quite focused people."

"We only had a few days together and we wrote one song and another that didn't get finished. He told me if I didn't take it he was taking it for his album'. So I said, 'No you're not, it's mine'. "

JUSTIN BIEBER TALKS ABOUT HIS FAST RISE TO STARDOM

A year ago, Justin Bieber was a kid from Canada who sang Usher hits. Then his mother posted clips of him on YouTube and Usher discovered him and signed him. Today, Justin could easily be the biggest tween heartthrob in music. His debut single, "One Time," is a hit and he has a legion of loyal fans.

In October, more than 2,000 people attended his "Today" show performance at New York's Rockefeller Plaza. It was the largest crowd for any artist this year, including Miley Cyrus.

His debut album, "My World," drops Tuesday.

When did you first think you might have a talent for music?

Justin: "I've always loved music, especially percussion. I'm a big fan of Travis Barker. My mom bought me my first drum kit when I was 4 because I was banging on everything around the house, even couches. I picked up the guitar when I was 6 and taught myself to play, but I didn't really start singing until I was 10."

How did you start taking it seriously?

Justin: "I entered a singing competition, and some of my relatives who couldn't make it wanted to see how I did. I posted the videos on YouTube, and then other people started viewing and subscribing. I didn't tell my friends because they didn't really know that I could sing. They knew me for playing sports. I just wanted to be a regular kid, and I knew they wouldn't treat me the same way if I told them."

What are the songs on "My World" like?

Justin: "Most are about love and stuff that girls can appreciate, but I also co-wrote a song called 'Down to Earth.' It's a ballad about the feelings I had when my parents split up and how I helped my family get through it. I think a lot of kids have had their parents split up, and they should know that it wasn't because of something they did. I hope people can relate to it."

What has been the biggest change for you in the past year?

Justin: "I've gained a lot more fans, and I'm able to travel a lot more. I went to the UK for the first time in the summer, and hundreds of girls came out to see me. I wasn't totally surprised because a lot of the people who comment on my YouTube videos are from overseas, but I still had no idea that many people would come."

OWL CITY BACK ON TOP OF THE BILLBOARD SINGLES CHART

Owl City's "Fireflies" went back to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with their debut hit.

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind" moved up 3-2 and last week, No. 1, Jason DeRulo's "Whatcha Say", fell to No. 3.

Iyaz moved up to No. 4 with "Replay" and Jay Sean's "Down," featuring Lil Wayne, slipped 4-5.

CHRIS BROWN FACING HIS FANS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FRONT OF A LIVE TV AUDIENCE

On Tuesday, Chris Brown taped an episode of BET's 106 & PARK and it will air on the network at 6pm Eastern time.

Chris was Interviewed by 106 & PARK co-host Rocsi Diaz. Chris will talk about the steps he's taking to move forward; the domestic abuse that happened in his home and how his fans are responding to him now.

Here's what Chris had to say:

On understanding the extent of what happened: "With the situation, it's not something you could take lightly and not something you could push under the rug. It's a really serious situation and it's something that I regret and I wish I didn't do it."

On being questioned about his sincerity in previous interviews: "I just feel like at the end of the day I'm human. I can only tell you how I personally feel. I can't make everybody love me, but I can just try and I can honestly say that I am sorry."

 

CELINE DION IS (WAS) NOT PREGNANT

Celine Dion isn't (wasn't) pregnant after all.

In August, the couple's doctor confirmed a pregnancy through in vitro fertilization.

When that information started to leak to the public, Celine confirmed it, but a day later, she found out the embryo hadn't been implanted successfully.

Celine and her husband Rene Angelil said they are going to keep trying to have kids and they took comfort in the fact they already have one child.

They have an eight-year-old son who was conceived by in vitro fertilization.

 

RIHANNA'S TOUR DEMANDS HAVE BEEN LEAKED ON THE WEB

Rihanna's concert rider has leaked on the internet and surprisingly, it's not as diva-ish as you would think.

Rihanna requires a "5 star premium" hotel, two Trish McEvoy candles ("Light and fruity glass incased!"), "good quality" tortilla chips, and "fire hot" crunchy Cheez Doodles.

Her dressing room must also be have a "professional make up mirror."

The 2008 tour rider also says that Rihanna may also ask for hard-boiled eggs at any point before a show.

ABC confirms the American Music Awards will be kicked off with "eight minutes of Janet Jackson."

The awards show airs live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on ABC on November 22 at 8:00 PM EST.

A "Thriller"-era portrait of Michael Jackson that was created by Andy Warhol sold for $812,500 to an anonymous buyer.

The 1984 portrait shows MJ smiling in a jacket with squiggles of red and yellow in his hair.

Back in August, Celine Dion was reported to be pregnant with an embryo that had been frozen in liquid nitrogen for the past eight years.

She had embryos frozen for in-vitro fertilization while trying to conceive her first child, Rene-Charles (now 8).

Now, In Touch Weekly reports:

In unfortunate news for Celine Dion and her husband Rene Angelil, the singer is no longer pregnant.

The mag quotes a source close to the family, who says, "While she and Rene are actively trying for a baby, she is not currently expecting".

Beyonce, Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, P!nk and Taylor Swift are all nominated for the best female artist trophy at the 2010 People's Choice Awards.

The best male artist nominees are Eminem, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Keith Urban and Tim McGraw.

The nominees for favorite breakout music artist are Adam Lambert, Demi Lovato, Kris Allen, Lady Gaga and Susan Boyle.

Nominees for favorite hip-hop artist are Eminem, Flo Rida, Jay-Z, Lil' Wayne and T.I.

Favorite rock band nominees are Daughtry, Green Day, Kings of Leon, Muse and Paramore.

Nominees for the favorite music collaboration are "Good Girls Go Bad" by Cobra Starship and Leighton Meester; "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat; "Run This Town" by Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West; "Life Your Live" by T.I. and Rihanna; and "I'm On a Boat" by The Lonely Island & T-Pain.

KATY PERRY DEBUTING HER NEW "UNPLUGGED" SONGS ON MONDAY

Katy Perry's "Unplugged" album drops next Tuesday, but fans will be able to get a sneak peek on MTV.com. Starting 24 hours before the album comes out, Katy Perry's "Unplugged" performance will air on MTV.com and MTVMusic.com.

Fans will get the chance to hear her acoustic covers of hits like "I Kissed a Girl" and "Waking Up in Vegas," plus two new songs: "Brick by Brick," and a cover of the Fountains of Wayne's "Hackensack."

The special also features an interview with Katy where she talks about the stories behind some of her biggest songs.

MTV's "AMTV" videos will all be performance videos taken from the taping.

Katy's Unplugged album will also be released in a deluxe CD/DVD edition on the same day the regular version drops.

 

CHER ANNOUNCES MORE DATES IN LAS VEGAS

Cher added dates to her Las Vegas residency because there is such a high demand for tickets to her show.

Tickets for Cher's Spring 2010 performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace go on sale Saturday. Tickets will be available for 24 performances from April 10-25 and May 8-30.

Cher will return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for a series of shows November 19th through December 20th.

Cher started a 3-year stint at the Colosseum in May 2008.
