Several things to discuss...first--I promised a video of the Beverly Farms Parade of Horribles but I've changed my mind. It's really bad. If you want to find it, you can just look on youtube. Sorry. I know kids look at our website and I just want to keep it clean.
2nd...thank you for all of the prayers and emails for my mom. We are still trying to figure out what happened--she was fine one minute and then the next, the world was spinning and she couldn't stand up or move her head. She went to the hospital via ambulance and has been in the neuro unit since Monday. It's scary to see your healthy mom hooked up to stuff. The doctor mentioned Benign Positional Vertigo and they are checking to see if she had a stroke. Let me tell ya, it puts life into perspective when something like this happens. It reminds you that life can be so short and so fragile. I've been wasting a lot of valuable time working several jobs. Work is necessary and can be fun but it can't be everything in your life. Shame on me. I've given up so much so I could have a few extra dollars in my bank account. It's not worth it. Go call your mom today (or your dad) and tell them that you love them.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police may have ignored a warning years ago that a woman with five dead spouses was trying to hire a hit man to kill one of the men, investigators in North Carolina said Monday.
Authorities charged 76-year-old Betty Neumar last month with one count of solicitation of murder in the July 1986 death of Harold Gentry. Gentry's brother had begged investigators for two decades to take another look at the case.

Ours broke last week (it was 19 years old-not pictured here) and I am going batty without a microwave. I had no idea how much I use this appliance. Went to a store to buy one that we had researched and they were out of it...so, we wait and wait and wait.

This book made a huge difference in my little world. If you've ever had a tough time, this book could teach you how to deal with it instead of having it ruin your day/week/life.

Read the review from Publishers Weekly:
Learning from the Heart: Lessons on Living, Loving, and Listening Daniel Gottlieb. Sterling, $17.95 (176p)
You have to love a self-help book that extols doing nothing: “The truth is,” says Gottlieb, “if we become comfortable with who we are rather than who we think we should be, then we will be less insecure.” As a therapist, Gottlieb frequently sees people who are convinced that changing themselves or their circumstances would lead to happiness. Gottlieb disagrees.
A columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer and author of Letters to Sam (addressed to his autistic grandson), Gottlieb also happens to be quadriplegic, which makes him somewhat of an expert in self-acceptance. And while he says his condition has taught him to listen, learn and care deeply, one senses Gottlieb is a born mensch and a man with a big heart. Warm, wise, compassionate, humble and often funny, he displays not a shred of self-pity or false modesty.
Best of all, his message has the unmistakable ring of truth to it: love rather than change yourself or anyone else. “Trying to change others is about intolerance, which is at the core of so much enmity. We cannot find peace unless we are trying to help others find peace also.” (Mar. 2008)
100% of the authors share of the royalties from this book will go to children's health organization and charities!

ANIMAL LOVERS PLEASE READ THIS!!!
Cat owners, terrified by the disease warning, are dumping their pets in the streets to be picked up by special collection teams.
Paranoia is so intense that six stray cats -including two pregnant females - were beaten to death with sticks by teachers at a Beijing kindergarten, who feared they might pass illnesses to the children.
China's leaders are convinced that animals pose a serious urban health risk and may have contributed to the outbreak of SARS - a deadly respiratory virus - in 2003.
But the crackdown on cats is seen by animal campaigners as just one of a number of extreme measures being taken by communist leaders to ensure that its capital appears clean, green and welcoming during the Olympics.

SIGG combines 100 years of Swiss quality & craftsmanship with a fresh, fun perspective on contemporary style – delivering a water bottle with both function AND fashion!
Plus using a premium reusable bottle like SIGG greatly helps reduce unnecessary environmental waste caused by plastic PET water bottles. Sadly, Americans add over 30 million plastic water bottles to our nation's landfills – everyday!
While not everyone is ready to purchase a hybrid vehicle, we believe every little bit helps. And thinking "reusable" instead of "disposable" is a great place to start. So, Rise Above Plastic – and consider the advantages of hydrating with a SIGG.
No, not at all. SIGG bottles have been thoroughly tested both in Europe and in the USA to ensure 0.0% leaching – so absolutely no migration of either the liner or the container into the beverage. Having been in this business for nearly 100 years, you can trust SIGG Switzerland to produce products of the highest quality and safety standards in the world.
"According to the results of our evaluation, use of a SIGG bottle does not add to the beverage any particles and/or components which are harmful to human health."

Building a Loving Relationship Takes Time—Five Good Minutes, to Be Exact!
“Make time for each other.” It’s the most common piece of relationship advice for a reason—it works! Too often, passion gets buried in the rush and routine of daily life. Romance can’t be sustained by special occasions alone, but it can flourish if you’re willing to devote five minutes a day to building a more fulfilling partnership.
Each of the love tips and fun activities in Five Good Minutes® with the One You Love will help you feel closer, more connected, and more deeply in love with your partner. These meditations, affirmations, and observations drawn from mindfulness practice will foster gratitude, kindness, trust, and empathy. In the course of these practices, you’ll also learn new ways to keep daily stress or a bad mood from impacting the person you love most.
About the Authors: Jeffrey Brantley, MD, is consulting associate in the Duke Department of Psychiatry and founder and director of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program at Duke University’s Center for Integrative Medicine. Sometimes, a person needs to sit back and ponder...enjoy
http://www.deeshan.com/zen.htm
A distraught man approached the Zen master. "Please, Master, I feel lost, desperate. I don't know who I am. Please, show me my true self!" But the teacher just looked away without responding.
The man began to plead and beg, but still the master gave no reply. Finally giving up in frustration, the man turned to leave. At that moment the master called out to him by name. "Yes!" the man said as he spun back around. "There it is!" exclaimed the master.
